The Baddest Bunny of them All!

Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio! A man who has firmly cemented his status as a living legend in our hearts. That’s right, I’m talkin’ about BAD BUNNY! An artist in pure form! From the moment his voice rings out on a record there’s no denying or mistaking who he is. A proud Puerto-Rican- Born-rebel-with-a-cause! It could be justifiably said that his voice outside the realm of music rings just as impact-fully! 

 The man is an avid vocal supporter of women’s and LGBTQ+ rights as well as a proud disruptor of the toxic masculinity elements of the culture. A man who once interrupted his world tour to join his people, marching the streets against government corruption in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Many of us already know his stats, but why not hear a few of them again: he’s the recipient of this year’s (2022) VMA Artist of the Year Award; he is currently one of the top two most streamed artists in the world with 36.4 billion streams and counting! He’s also won two Grammy Awards, four Latin Grammy Awards, eight Billboard Music Awards, two American Music Awards and thirteen Premios Lo Nuestro Awards, among his many other accolades. 

 Some people come into this world knowing exactly what their purpose is—and to watch them live is like watching a shooting star. Bad Bunny’s our shooting star who knew from the tender age of five that his mission was music and that music would be the vehicle for him to encourage others. He joined the church choir at five and never stopped from that point on. However, it wasn’t until he decided to drop out of the University of Puerto Rico that he got on his grind to become the artist we all know and love today. While working at a supermarket he uploaded his trap and reggaeton music tracks to sound cloud and the rest became history as his first ever hit, “Diles” shot to the top of the charts!
